Joni Zimmerman Manto, CKD, CBD
As Founder, President and Artistic Director, Joni is the driving force behind Design Solutions, inc. Her forward vision of design and business practices has developed a regional, if not national, reputation of excellance.
Joni's design approach is creative, layered in detail and interest, grounded and classic, surprising and refreshing. She especially shines with spacial challenges that leave other designers struggling. As a cook and avid entertainer, her approach always combines the co-influences of people, function and beauty.
A developing direction for kitchen which Joni is exploring is the idea of a sustainable kitchen. With the commitment that many families are making to eat locally, and consume nutrient-dense, organic foods, Joni is giving new thought to how this style of eating and cooking may influence kitchen design.
When not designing kitchens, Joni may be found making jewelry or other creative outlets, with her kitchen boutique, Jezman's, reading, or celebrating life with family and friends at the family retreat center in Cumberland, MD. She and her husband, Chuck Manto, are also involved with developing ministry programs aimed at building support and resources for communities dealing with disaster recovery issues.
Pam Kanewske
Pam has been with Design Solutions, inc. as a designer since 2000. She brings a very thoughtful, gentle and sophisticated style to her designs, much like her personality! As a former teacher, Pam is an excellent educator for her clients.
In addition to designing kitchens, Pam has a love of gardening, miniature long haired dashunds, dance and making beaded jewelry. Her two young adult children are fine examples of the qualities and values by which Pam lives.

Lee Kaus
A former client of Design Solutions, inc, she enjoyed her experience so much she joined the company! Her first career, besides raising 2 boys (3 if you count her airline pilot husband), was as a landscape designer. Lee has an outstanding ability in aesthetic design for interior and exterior spaces.
With the ability to draft from her first career, Lee helps clients coordinate selections, develope tile plans, pick counter tops and colors. Her designs are a beautiful as her smile.
Lee is also one of the best cooks at Design Solutions, inc! We love it when she brings in her leftovers or shares recipes. Additionally, Lee may be found helping her husband, Paul restore their boat, working in the yard, or enjoying her DSi kitchen!
